Samavesh works at the intersection of legal identity, education access, youth leadership, and social protection, and we're always looking for passionate individuals to join us through internships, volunteering, or careers.

Why Mentor with Samavesh?

At Samavesh, we work with first-generation learners from historically marginalized communities—students with dreams but few guides. Your mentorship can be the difference between confusion and clarity, between dropping out and stepping up.

Whether you're a student, working professional, academic, or sector expert—you can help a young aspirant navigate college, careers, and confidence.

What You’ll Do as a Mentor

  • Guide students through career planning, college applications, or professional development
  • Support them in building skills like CV writing, interview prep, LinkedIn, and workplace readiness
  • Be a sounding board as they make life-changing decisions
  • Offer 1–2 hours a month—remotely, flexibly, impactfully

Who Can Mentor?

You’ll be matched with a student based on your experience and interest in:

University students, alumni, researchers, or faculty from institutions like TISS, APU, DU, Ashoka, FLAME, Shiv Nadar, SPPU, international universities, and more

Professionals in education, law, policy, development, climate, tech, media, or social impact

People who believe in equity, access, and grassroots leadership

Willing to commit 1 hour/month for 3–6 months (remote)

Types of Mentorship

  • University Mentorship
    SOP feedback, college shortlisting, entrance prep

  • Career Mentorship
    Resume building, mock interviews, job/fellowship guidance

  • Academic Mentorship
    Research writing, academic confidence, navigating college life

  • Well-being Mentorship
    Active listening, building resilience, emotional support

Internship at Samavesh

Samavesh is a rights-based organisation building inclusive systems through grassroots action. We run flagship programs like the Samavesh Fellows, After-School Program, and Samavesh Scholars, which focus on legal documentation, school-to-career transitions, and higher education access for first-generation learners and underserved communities.

Students (undergraduate/postgraduate) or recent graduates from relevant fields

Multilingual abilities (English, Hindi, Marathi, and Any Regional Languages) preferred

Passion for grassroots work and inclusion

Volunteer With Samavesh

Why Volunteer?

Samavesh is built by and for the community. As a volunteer, you’ll support education, citizenship, gender equity, and access to welfare at the last mile. Whether you’re a student, working professional, or simply passionate about change, you can help us:

  • Create content in local languages
  • Organise workshops, learning camps, or documentation drives
 

Who Can Volunteer?

We welcome:

Concerned citizens, educators, students, and activists

People who are committed, curious, and community-driven

Volunteers comfortable with field-based or remote tasks

How You Can Contribute

  • Community Outreach: Assist with surveys, enrollment camps, and school engagement
  • Content & Communications: Help with social media, reels, posters, or translation
  • Training Support: Co-facilitate life skills or legal literacy sessions
  • Documentation & Data: Support research, interviews, or backend data work
  • Career Readiness: Mentor Scholars in writing SOPs, LORs, or navigating entrance tests
